Deontay Wilder’s trainer disagrees with decision to throw in the towel vs. Tyson Fury
Admittedly I am being a little too harsh. In the beginning, Wilder did throw some jabs and body shots while pawing with his left to land with his right. However, any of the shots Wilder was landing were not as effective compared to the ones Fury was landing. Wilder started to look little lost before the shot to the ear. He started whiffing jabs and looked out of breath. I would think someone on his level would be able to mix his game up a bit by showing more lateral movement and getting inside to throw some combos. Wilder isn’t a great technical boxer, he has inhuman power with his right hand and a lot of heart. It makes sense now why he achieved a bronze medal in his first year of boxing. He relied on his heart and power then continued this throughout his career.
