Analyst: Austin Hooper to reset tight end market at $11 million per year
When your outside WRS are demanding double attentions and the Defenses number one priority is to not give big chunk yards to Julio and Rid that’s a pretty good situation for any decent TE to be and Hooper is certainly better than double but this team will get pretty much those same numbers with the average guy with similar talent who gets targets in that position.
Falcons passing offense statistically lacks aggressiveness regardless of game situation
The Falcons have been horrendous in the Red Zone so what’s the super risk getting a throw to Julio where either catches it or he gets a pass interference call on the DB or at the ball falls harmless out of bound. That’s a better set of a downs that two runs down there with two no gains and then a third down pass attempt and a FG attempt after the third down sack.
Before Jones became the choice FA at DT, I always liked Derek Wolf with Denver , at the right price, he could be a choice pick under the radar ! And at a great price compared to Jones . Also the texas DT Javon Hargrave is a good DT . These 2 will be 8 – 10 million under Jones . Brockers is another . Anyway I’m not mike ! lol, I keep thinking , Ndamukong Suh is also available , at this stage in his career, he can’t demand so much , and maybe Guden can turn his fire up a couple notch’s for his most likely final contract. Possibly get 2 yrs out of him . Anyway, I like Chris Jones where he is, between His contract, and Mahomes , they’ll strap KC’s capital for the rest of the team . .
DeAndre Hopkins Named To AP NFL All-Pro First Team (Again)
I honestly thought Nuk wasn’t going to be a first team AP this year. Kenny Golladay and Julio Jones could have easily been inserted opposite of Michael Thomas. That being said, one could probably make an argument for 2 dozen receivers this year for that other spot. That being said, not many of those WRs command the double teams that Nuk does and he still had a very solid season.
On another note, I was disappointed to see that Zach Cunningham was left of both AP teams. I thought he was deserving of atleast a second team LB spot.
