He was rushing plays and his mechanics suffered. They were in his head. He did enough for his team to win but he was handed an MVP he didn’t deserve.
I said at halftime they were just going to give it to him if he won even though he didn’t deserve it. They need to stop with the BS — because now that SuperBowl MVP becomes part of his "legacy" even though it shouldn’t have been his.

Williams kept that offense alive until Mahomes got Bosa out of his head and made a couple of throws. If Williams doesn’t keep that offense functioning even Shanahan’s scared shell would have been enough to seal the win.
Mahomes was off his game. The 9ers defense shook him. His mechanics went wonky and he started rushing everything. Williams stabilized everything, fought for tough first downs, had a pair of TD’s. Sure Mahomes hit a few deep balls but even then one was wildly under thrown. He wasn’t making life easy on anyone out there (like he usually does).
I just get real tired of automatically handing the SBMVP to QB’s. It’s like they refused to even think about it anymore. And when we talk about how important they are to a hall of fame candidacy it boils my blood that we just do it by default.
