Jon Jones explains how Daniel Cormier has become an inspiration for his own career
But the uneasiness of people to believe Jones is exactly what I’m talking about and why it’s such a shame. What he said was incredibly respectful and mature. Jones could be sincere here, yet nobody believes him. Jones could win tomorrow and people will wonder if he’s juiced. He could go down as the greatest fighter of all time, but he has an asterisk with everything he does now. It’s not hateful fans either. Jones gave his fans reasons to be suspicious and that’s why it’s disappointing. Trying to be a Jones fan is like trying to be with your girlfriend that cheated on you.
Arrowheadlines: Three round mock draft has the Chiefs going LB, DL and RB
You can’t have 3 top dollar guys on the defense or else the offense will suffer. Pat is great, but elevating a bunch of fringe guys to being solid NFL WRs isn’t nearly as effective as taking the solid guys we have and making them elite. Not only will you have to cut Watkins instead of restructuring him, but I think Kelce ends up becoming too expensive. And if there is one guy who has earned top of the market money, it’s Travis Kelce. (Plus top market money isn’t as much as what Jones will get)
Josh Rosen ready to prove he is ‘the man’ in Miami
That being said, all the other measurables are MUCH worse than Julio Jones. Not saying the guy won’t be decent in the pros, but to say he has the same tools, but then argue that there are guys other than Jones that are successful to make your point proves he doesn’t have them. Bad comparison to Julio Jones. Dude is a bigger stronger faster receiver. Judy is more of a slot receiver type which is in no way worthy of a top 5 pick. Especially for a team with as many holes as ours.
