He got traded for a 7th because he was losing his roster competition with another Giants player who’s is somehow worse than Elflein via PFF grades, despite giving up less sacks and penalties. The only time Jones has looked good for us has been in the preason when he’s going up against 2nd and 3rd string players. Who tend not to play very often on Sundays.

The guy’s a versatile backup but he’s not the answer to anyone’s prayers about replacing Elflein.
