My Ideal first round mock draft

Round 1

1) Carolina Panthers (from Chicago)- CJ Stroud, QB Ohio State

The sharpest QB at the combine gets selected first in the draft. His big time game against Georgia and his consistency throughout the year grants him the 2023 draft crown.

2) Houston Texans- Anthony Richardson, QB Florida

The most lame offensive team in the NFL for the last couple of years shakes things up by not selecting Bryce Young the most advanced processor of the draft, but instead by drafting the most physically gifted QB to ever enter the league.

3) Arizona Cardinals- Will Anderson, Edge Alabama

The consensus best defensive player over the last 3 seasons in CFB is selected by the loss-stricken Cardinals in hopes of adding defensive identity/consistency.

4) Indianapolis Colts- Bryce Young, QB Alabama

Instead of the old or inefficient kind of QB that the Colts have gambled on the last few years, they finally have the opportunity too grab a "young" QB with all of the skills too lead a winning franchise.

5) Seattle Seahawks (from Denver)- Tyree Wilson, Edge Tx Tech

With the passing success of the 9ers this past season and the Rams success the year before, the Seahawks add an elite pass rusher to calm the storm of passing offenses.

6) Detroit Lions (from L.A. Rams)- Lukas Van Ness, DL Iowa

The Lions add a disruptive player to complement Hutchinson in the worst way for opposing QB’s.

7) Las Vegas Raiders- Devon Witherspoon, CB Illinois

The Raiders add the best CB of the draft to hopefully repair their defensive struggles.

8) Atlanta Falcons- Jalen Carter, DL Georgia

After falling below projection, the best player in the 2022 season is staying home & going top 10 regardless of his recent off field mishaps.

9) Chicago Bears (from Carolina)- Brian Branch, S Alabama

The Bears start the defensive rebuild off by selecting the most dynamic DB, a player great in coverage and great at tackling.

10) Philadelphia Eagles (from New Orleans)-Bijan Robinson, RB Texas

The stacked Eagles select arguably the most dominant & skilled RB prospect since Adrian Peterson, adding serious talent to the already dominant squad.

11) Tennessee Titans- Will Levis, QB Kentucky

The Titans add the arm that they’ve been longing for, hoping to finally contend for the superbowl.

12) Houston Texans (from Cleveland)-Zay Flowers, WR Boston College

After Selecting Richardson, the Texans add another explosive weapon to spark life into the franchise.

13) New York Jets- Peter Skoronski, OT NorthWestern

The Jets’ only weakness seemed to be QB & pass blocking, here, they add the best pass blocker in the draft.

14) New England Patriots- Quentin Johnston, WR TCU

NE adds a player to bring electric physicality to their lack luster pass offense.

15) Green Bay Packers- Jaxon Smith Njiba,WR Ohio State

The Packers add a smooth route runner to help Jordan Love keep QB play for Green Bay at an elite level.

16) Washington Commanders- Christian Gonzalez,CB Oregon

Washington adds a highly touted Corner to be the "cornerstone" of their future defense alongside Chase Young.

17) Pittsburgh Steelers- Paris Johnson, OT Ohio State

The Steelers add a powerful offensive lineman to reboot their offensive woes.

18) Detroit Lions- Joey Porter jr, CB Penn State

The Lions add another strong piece to the defense to finally make the historically pathetic team, into a superbowl contender.

19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Michael Mayer, TE Norte Dame

The Bucs add the TE that they’ve been searching for since the departure of Gronk.

20) Seattle Seahawks- Dalton Kincaid, TE Utah

Without too many weaknesses on the team, the Seahawks add another offensive threat to go along with Lockett, Metcalf, Walker & Geno.

21) Los Angeles Chargers- Jahmyr Gibbs, RB Alabama

With the current contract issues involving Ekeler on the forefront, the Chargers make sure they have a playmaker in the backfield by adding the ultra explosive/dynamic RB prospect that ran a 4.36 40yd dash.

22) Baltimore Ravens- Jordan Addison, WR USC

The Ravens have needed a Receiver to give Lamar Jackson another consistent option outside of Mark Andrews for awhile now, here they "add" a great short/intermediate route runner to complement Bateman’s explosiveness.

23) Minnesota Vikings- Kelee Ringo, CB Georgia

The Vikings add a big, explosive defensive back who they hope fills the void left by Patrick Peterson.

24) Jacksonville Jaguars- Deonte Banks, CB Maryland

The Jags look to improve their pass defense by selecting Banks, hopefully strengthening the pass defense enough to contend for the Super Bowl.

25) New York Giants-Josh Downs, WR North Carolina

A quick, explosive WR that can make game changing plays is exactly the player needed to give their highly paid QB the weapon he needs to hush the doubters.

26) Dallas Cowboys- Jack Campbell, LB Iowa

The Cowboys who have had bad luck with injuries at the linebacker position add an explosive & consistent player that will finally be the answer to the middle of the defense.

27) Buffalo Bills- O’Cyrus Torrence, OL Florida

For the Bills to finally take the next step, they need to improve the run game.. There’s no better way to improve the run game than by adding a plow to open up run lanes.

28) Cincinnati Bengals- Brian Breese, DL Clemson

The Bengals add a physical presence on the defensive line to wreck the other great offenses of the AFC.

29) New Orleans Saints (from San Francisco through Miami and Denver)- Calijah Kancey, DL Pitt

The Saints add an explosive player with similarities to Aaron Donald when it comes to wreaking havoc extremely quick after the ball gets snapped.

*30) Philadelphia Eagles- Jaylin Hyatt, WR Tennessee

The Eagles add yet another explosive player to an already superior offense, enabling them to keep their talons tightly gripped around the defenses of the league.

31) Kansas City Chiefs- Adetomiwa Adebawore, DL NorthWestern

The Super Bowl champs add a freak of nature to maintain a championship level defense.
