The Los Angeles Rams will take on the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore this coming Sunday, and they could be without their starting tight end, Tyler Higbee. Higbee is currently listed as doubtful. That typically means the player will not be suiting up, but stranger things have happened. It’s Week 14 in the NFL season, and I would guess every player is hurt in some way shape or form. Higbee’s seemingly been hurt every other week, but that hadn’t stopped him from suiting up, yet. Well whatever is ailing the player seems to be stopping him now.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee is listed as doubtful to play against the Ravens. Sean McVay said, “I know that there's nobody that's going to work harder over these next 48 hours to put himself in position to be ready. If he can go, great and if not then he'll be leading on the sideline.”— Sarah Barshop (@sarahbarshop) December 8, 2023
Higbee isn’t having the best receiving season for the Rams. That doesn’t mean he still hasn’t helped make positive impacts, including a two touchdown day against the Arizona Caridnals in Week 12. I am pretty sure fans can point out some of his drops or mistakes, but overall I think he’s one of the most solid tight ends in the NFL. He may even be underrated.
NFL teams need to adapt throughout the season. The Rams have options like Brycen Hopkins and Hunter Long, and hopefully they’ll be able to figure it out. The reality is that whether Higbee played or not this was going to be a tough matchup. The Ravens have arguably been one of the best teams in the league. With a 9-3 record, what else you need to know?
LA is certainly going to have their work cut out for them. Hopefully they can come out of this one without sustaining more significant injuries.
