Random Ramsdom: See how many sacks LA allowed against the Browns

Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 12/4/23

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Rams Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams earned their sixth win of the season when they defeated the Cleveland Browns this past Sunday. The Rams offensive line held up and didn’t allow a sack against one of the top defenses in the league. What did you think of the Rams offensive performance? It took them some time to get going but the offense did end up pulling through. They really put the game away in the fourth quarter. Please comment on whatever you’d like and have a great victory Monday!

Browns defense failed to do this for the first time all year in loss to Rams (cleveland.com)

“INGLEWOOD, Calif. — It was a first this year for the Browns defense.

But for a unit that is among the league’s best, it was a disappoint first.

The Browns failed to record a sack on Sunday, unable to take down Matthew Stafford in their 36-19 loss to the L.A. Rams.”

NFC Playoff Picture, Week 13: Seahawks drop out of playoff spot following Rams win over Browns (fieldgulls)

“With a significantly remade roster from the Super Bowl team two seasons ago, the Los Angeles Rams are still better positioned to make the NFC playoffs than the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite Joe Flacco’s best efforts, the Cleveland Browns eventually fell apart late and the Rams were able to pull away for a 36-19 win. It’s the Rams’ third straight win, and after starting 3-6 while the Seahawks were 6-3, both teams are now 6-6 and the Rams have the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Seattle is now out of a playoff spot even before the Sunday Night Football clash between the Green Bay Packers (5-6) and Kansas City Chiefs. It’s very likely that they don’t get back in, either.”

Late interception thwarts strong start from Joe Flacco, dooms Browns vs. Rams in QB’s Cleveland debut (sports.yahhoo.com)

“Dustin Hopkins missed the extra point, leaving Cleveland trailing, 20-19. The Browns then had a chance to take the lead after their defense forced a three-and-out on the ensuing Rams possession. But Flacco underthrew Elijah Moore on a deep ball that John Johnson III intercepted.

The turnover set the Rams up for a late touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp to extend L.A.’s lead to 27-19. Cleveland turned the ball over on downs in its ensuing possession, and the Rams held on for the win.

It was a disappointing end to a promising start for Flacco that dropped the Browns to 7-5, leaving their playoff hopes floundering in the face of multiple key injuries. Flacco finished his Browns debut completing 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.”
