Rams clinch 2023 playoff berth!

Sean McVay’s most masterful job as Rams head coach yet? It could be with a playoff berth secured

The Los Angeles Rams are going back to the playoffs! With the Seattle Seahawks losing at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the Rams are guaranteed to win a wild card berth and Sean McVay has completed arguably the most remarkable regular season of his career by coaching L.A. into the postseason this time.

The Rams were written off by most going into the season. I guess the Rams didn’t write back.

At 9-7, the Rams have one game left to play, which is next week against the San Francisco 49ers. But there is not much on the line for either team.

The Niners have clinched the number one seed in the NFC, so they will likely sit their starters. The Rams are likely going to be the six-seed, so McVay may want to rest his starters too.

If the Rams are the six seed, that would send L.A. to Detroit to face the Lions, a match of Jared Goff against McVay and his old team. Stafford against his old team. It’s the perfect marriage for a wild card game.

A wild card game that the 2023 L.A. Rams have now clinched.
