The Los Angeles Rams begin their two-game road trip to end the 2023 regular season, starting with the New York Giants who are 6.5-point underdogs according to DraftKings Sportsbook. LA has gone 5-1 in their last six games and have a 72 percent chance to make the playoffs, according to The New York Times.
The Rams moved to 8-7 following their 30-22 win over the Saints on Thursday Night Football. Matthew Stafford again continued his elite stretch under the primetime lights. Stafford completed 24-of-34 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie sensation Puka Nacua led LA with nine receptions for 164 yards and a score. Puka needs only 147 receiving yards in the final two weeks to have the most by a rookie wideout in NFL history. If he reaches the mark, he has to be OROY, right? Second-year playmaker Kyren Williams also became the second running back to surpass 1,000 yards on the season. Williams shredded the Saints on the ground, rushing for 104 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.
New York nearly pulled off a Christmas miracle in Philadelphia before losing 33-25 to the Eagles. A strange sequence of events in the final seconds of the game ultimately cost the Giants an improbable win against the reigning NFC champs.

Tyrod Taylor came in for a benched Tommy DeVito and nearly rallied his team back from a 20-3 halftime deficit. Taylor completed 7-of-16 passes for 133 yards with a touchdown and the crushing interception on his final pass. Saquon Barkley had 80 yards rushing and scored early in the third quarter to kickstart the comeback. Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson also picked off Eagles’ star Jalen Hurts and ran it back 76 yards for a score to get New York within two points entering the fourth.
Who do you trust more this week? Can the Rams score at least 28 points in a sixth-consecutive game? Will rookie Tommy DeVito or veteran Tyrod Taylor find some magic to spoil a potential playoff bid for LA? DeVito has taken plenty of sacks in his eight career starts for the Giants. I expect Aaron Donald and company will make a feast out of Tommy Cutlets or whoever starts under center and win comfortably on the road.
My pick is for the Rams to go over the spread and maintain their strong offensive play in New York. Who are you betting on in Week 17? Let’s discuss in the comments!
