The Los Angeles Rams have a chance of maintaining their hot stretch on a short week against the New Orleans Saints, with the Rams opening up as a 3-point favorite according to DraftKings Sportsbook. LA has gone 4-1 since their bye week which has enabled them to make a late postseason push in their remodeling year.
The Rams rebounded from their heartbreaking loss to the Ravens by holding off the Commanders 28-20. Matthew Stafford maintained his strong play by going 25-of-33 passing for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Stafford threw touchdown passes to Demarcus Robinson and Cooper Kupp for a wide open 62-yard score.

Kupp led LA with 111 yards on eight receptions. Stud second-year running back Kyren Williams rushed 27 times for 152 yards and a touchdown. Williams has five games of over 100 yards rushing on the season. In the game, Los Angeles rushed for 196 yards on 37 attempts, good for a 5.3 yards per carry average.
The Saints dominated at the Superdome in a 24-6 win over the Giants. After leading 7-6 at halftime, New Orleans completely shut down New York in the second half and outscored them 17-0. Quarterback Derek Carr had one of his best performances in a Saints uniform, completing 23-of-28 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns. Carr also set season highs in completion percentage (82.1) and passer rating (134.8). The Saints held reigning NFC Player of the Week Tommy DeVito and the Giants offense to just 193 total yards. New York star running back Saquon Barkley was held to only 14 rushing yards on nine carries, the fifth-lowest total of his career.
Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu asked about taking Saquon Barkley out of the game:— Mike Triplett (@MikeTriplett) December 17, 2023
“I don’t think we took him out of the game, I think Demario took him out.”
Said it seemed like Davis made every tackle, especially at the start.
Who do you trust more this week? Can a dynamic Rams offense led by Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams continue their points barrage in New Orleans? Or will a quality Saints’ defense figure out a way to slow down Stafford and company? Despite Derek Carr coming off his best game of the season, he’s been too inconsistent to trust in a big matchup for both teams. There’s simply too much on the line for LA to blow it now (knock on wood).
My pick is for the Rams to go over the spread and win a tough defensive battle in New Orleans. Who are you betting on in Week 16? Let’s discuss in the comments!
