Fears of Aaron Donald missing his first game of the season were put to rest on Saturday night, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the L.A. Rams star is expected to play through “tightness in his groin”. Donald is listed as questionable to play against the Washington Commanders in 15, but expected to play, per Schefter. That does increase the chances that the Rams will get the win they need to stay in the NFC wild card race for another week.
Receiver Tutu Atwell’s update is not as good, as Schefter reported that he is unlikely to play against the Commanders. Atwell was also listed as questionable.
Rams’ DT Aaron Donald, added to the injury report Saturday with tightness in his groin and listed as questionable for Sunday, is expected to play vs. the Commanders, per source. https://t.co/nF5pnsZwTY— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 17, 2023
Donald is having another season worthy of an All-Pro and Pro Bowl nod. He’s as disruptive as any defensive tackle in the NFL and he gets to face the most-sacked QB in the NFL, Sam Howell, in Week 15. With Atwell ruled out, it’s even more duty for Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.
