Rams vs Browns opening odds: LA favored by a field goal at home

The Los Angeles Rams are seeking to win their third straight as they hit the road against the Cleveland Browns, with the Rams opening up as 3-point favorites, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. LA is looking to get their record back to .500 for the first time since Week 6.

The Rams went into the desert and came out on fire, and not because of the dry Arizona heat. LA soundly defeated the Cardinals 37-14 in a must-win game to improve their standings in the NFC playoff picture. Matthew Stafford easily played his best game of the season. Stafford threw four touchdown passes on 25-of-33 passing. Tight end Tyler Higbee and running back Kyren Williams each had two TD receptions apiece. Williams returned off IR with a vengeance as he had 204 total yards of offense, including 143 on the ground.

Cleveland had no chance against a surging Broncos team as they lost 29-12 in the Mile High City. The Browns trailed 14-0 early before chipping away at the Broncos’ lead to make it a two-point game with 6:42 left in the third quarter. Denver closed the game on a 15-0 run to hold off the Brownies. Rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson had a touchdown pass to tight end Harrison Bryant before leaving the game with a concussion. All-Pro defender Myles Garrett had a quiet afternoon as he was held without a sack, even though he got pretty darn close a few times.

Who do you trust more this week? Will the Rams be able to add to their two-game winning streak to even their record at 6-6? Or will the Browns defensive front, namely Myles Garrett, overwhelm LA’s O-line and punish Matthew Stafford? Cleveland is physical on defense but their quarterback situation gives me pause. Neither Dorian Thompson-Robinson or Josh Johnson should strike fear into the Rams, so the opportunity for turnovers will be there for Los Angeles to pull away after halftime.

My pick is for the Rams to go under the spread and find a way to get past a tough Browns team at SoFi. Watch for LA to keep their playoff hopes alive in front of their home crowd. Who are you betting on in Week 13? Let’s discuss in the comments!
