There is nothing like watching football after stuffing ourselves to the brink of explosion with of turkey. The NFL did not disappoint with their slate of games for the holiday, with all three matchups being in-divisional battles. First the Green Bay Packers head to the Detroit Lions, followed by the Commanders at the Dallas Cowboys, and finally, the day is finished out with a huge night game, as the Seattle Seahawks welcome the San Francisco 49ers to Lumen Field for a NFC West showdown that may have major implications on the divisional title.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Detroit is favored over Green Bay, Dallas is favored over Washington, and San Francisco is favored over Seattle. We have been using Tallysight to get our picks in each week, so sign up at Tallysight for submitting your own bets.

In the first game between the Lions and Packers, I am taking the Detroit to cover the spread and win the game. I am just not a Jordan Love believer, and I think former Rams QB Jared Goff and the Lions get a big win at home on Thanksgiving. Detroit head coach Dan Campbell embraces the fact his team plays on the holiday each year, and I believe he will have his guys revved up and ready to go. I am also taking the under in this game as I do not think the Packers will move the ball against Aiden Hutchinson and the Lions defense.

In the second game between the Cowboys and Commanders, I am taking the Cowboys to win the game, however I think that Washington is a competitive enough team to cover the large spread. I think this could potentially be a high scoring game, so I am also taking the over in this one.

For the Thanksgiving finale, and what I think is the best game of the day, I am taking Seattle to cover the spread vs. San Francisco, however I am taking the 49ers to win the game in the end. Geno Smith was able to practice in limited fashion on Tuesday, after an elbow injury sustained on a big hit from the Rams DT Aaron Donald last week. I think whoever is playing QB for the Seahawks on Thursday will be very telling in how this game will shake out.

That said, I am taking the under in this one because this is such a heated rivalry and I just don’t think that either team will let the other get too far away on the scoreboard. On top of that, they are both run-first offenses, so that may end up leading to a lower scoring game.
