Before the Rams play in the game of the week, talk about the other games of this week!

The Los Angeles Rams face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the afternoon, but there’s a nine-game slate in the morning and PLENTY to discuss. If you haven’t listened to the new LAST MINUTE THOUGHTS podcast with Robert Finn and JB Scott, I highly recommend it and getting in your last minute feelings on Rams-Bucs.

Other than that, go ahead and chop up some talk on these AM games...

Morning

(1-1) Bears at (1-1) Browns

The first start for rookie QB Justin Fields, who scored his first TD against the Rams in Week 1. Will Fields lead Chicago to an upset win over Cleveland on the road?

(1-1) WFT at (1-1) Bills

Taylor Heinicke gets his second start after opening up with a win over Giants in Week 2. The Bills rank first in the NFL in yards per pass attempt allowed through two weeks.

(1-1) Ravens at (0-2) Lions

Can Jared Goff help Detroit avoid an 0-3 start? Do the rebuilding Lions want to avoid an 0-3 start?

(2-0) Cardinals at (0-2) Jaguars

Early-early-early MVP candidate Kyler Murray might be getting his easiest test of the season on Sunday in Jacksonville. Trevor Lawrence might be getting one of his toughest assignments.

(1-1) Chargers at (1-1) Chiefs

The AFC West is upside down from expectations to open the year with Denver and Las Vegas at 2-0 instead of these teams. But Chiefs-Chargers is infinitely more interesting than Broncos-Raiders.

(1-1) Saints at (1-1) Patriots

The “New Song of the Week” today is “Blame” by Gabriels. I can’t believe how good it is.

(0-2) Falcons at (0-2) Giants

A couple of weeks ago my “New Movie of the Week” was Malignant on HBO Max, but I criticized it and said that I hadn’t even finished it yet. Well, I finished Malignant and ended up liking it so much that I watched it a second time. You kind of have to watch it twice to appreciate it?

(1-1) Bengals at (1-1) Steelers

Former Rams assistant Zac Taylor looks to avoid being the first coach fired, which might require him doing better than 1-2 turning into 1-3, then 1-4, then 1-5... Pittsburgh is as vulnerable as ever.

(0-2) Colts at (1-1) Titans

Carson Wentz is expected to start and this seems to be the third time in three weeks that his availability was in question up until the final moments.

Afternoon

(0-2) Jets at (2-0) Broncos

(1-1) Dolphins at (2-0) Raiders

(1-1) Seahawks at (0-2) Vikings

SNF - (1-1) Packers at (2-0) 49ers

MNF - (1-1) Eagles at (1-1) Cowboys
