Rams injury news: Sebastian Joseph-Day has status change in Thursday practice

LA’s injury report looks much different than the Colts’

The LA Rams escaped Week 1 in relatively great shape and on Wednesday, defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Days (knee) was the only player to miss practice because of injury; Aaron Donald, Andrew Whitworth, and Terrell Lewis had rest days.

Well, now no Rams were held out because of injury, as Joseph-Day returned to practice on a limited basis on Thursday.

Though LA got terrible news on Cam Akers in July when they learned he’d be out for the year, then Raymond Calais and Xavier Jones also got bad news about their seasons, the Rams have to be grateful for the shape they’re in headed to Week 2’s contest against the Indianapolis Colts. Especially in comparison to their AFC South opponents.

The Colts have seven starters miss practice on Thursday, which was three more than were out on Wednesday.

Joseph-Day has turned from a sixth round pick who was buried on the depth chart in 2018 to Donald’s right-hand man and a key cog in the middle of the defensive line, so the Rams would love to have him ready and 100-percent for Sunday’s matchup against Indianapolis running back Jonathan Stewart.
