Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee appears to be in great shape. Entering his 6th season, the former fourth round pick is connecting with new quarterback Matthew Stafford during training camp. On Monday, the 6’6 255 pound veteran made multiple plays, hooking up with Stafford in all three periods, seven on sevens, two minute offense, and 11 on 11 redzone.
In 2020, Higbee hit a career high with five touchdowns. Three of those scores occurred in one game against the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2019 he had 734 total yards receiving.
This season, with all the weapons around him, it might happen that he will see less balls thrown his way or deep threats like DeSean Jackson and known targets Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods will open the middle of the field where the tight end is often targeted. Only time will tell but so far in training camp, Higbee seems to be an integral part of the attack.
