NFL.com writer Gil Brandt posted rankings of the top 10 offensive-defensive duos in the league. The number one spot went to the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers and Jaire Alexander as the top duo.

The Los Angeles Rams’ Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald ranked eighth.

Even without the services of running back Cam Akers, Stafford should still benefit significantly from a change in scenery after 12 long years in Detroit. Donald’s bonafides are clear — the reigning Defensive Player of the Year can set a record by winning the award a fourth time in 2021.

Donald has been ranked as the overall best player in the NFL per the PFF top 50 rankings. That means the Rams QB1 would be the reason for the pair not ranking higher on this list. With duos from the Colts, Seahawks, and Browns placed in the top seven, is eight the right spot for the Rams? Where will this duo rank after Stafford rolls with LA for a year?
