Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Rams Aaron Donald ranked first on PFFs 50 Best Players list for the fifth consecutive year. PFF writer Sam Monson describes Donald’s streak of seven-straight seasons with an overall grade above 90.0 as a feat no other player at any position has achieved.

He also explains how the three time DPOY has pass rush stats so far above his peers that while he is technically an interior lineman, analysts have gotten used to comparing him to edge rushers when it comes to pressures and sacks. The difference being AD is usually double teamed.

Monson provides this example:

“Donald had a better pass rush win rate in 2020 against double teams than Shaquil Barrett did when one-on-one.”
