In a new set of “future” NFL power rankings put out by ESPN, analysts such as Louis Riddick and Field Yates went about grading each club in a handful of important categories. Those included quarterback, the remaining roster, coaching, front office, and ability to draft well year-in and year-out.
After weighing all their grades together, they published their findings and you’ll be happy to know that the group of analysts believe the Rams are in one of the best positions heading into the future. Out of 32 teams, the Rams came in at No. 7.
Here’s Yates’ thoughts on why the Rams wound up where they did:
“Los Angeles’ best window with Matthew Stafford will be over the next three seasons, as the team has a quarterback it believes represents the missing link to a championship run. Few teams have a better collection of blue-chip players than the Rams — led by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey — but GM Les Snead has found some diamonds in the rough too to round out the roster.”
