The Rams signed 10 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of this year’s NFL draft. As you likely noticed, that number is a but lower than from the previous year, but there’s no expansion of the practice squad in 2021 meaning there are a few less spots to earn on NFL rosters.
The Rams landed a few notable names in Pitt safety Paris Ford, Iowa offensive tackle Alaric Jackson, and Boston College linebacker Max Roberts.
Among them, Ford is the name that stands out the most as he was predicted to be a top prospect at his position in this class until he tested like a slug at his school’s pro day.
Paris Ford is a SS prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 0.33 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 711 out of 734 SS from 1987 to 2021.

Splits projected, timing unofficial.
Not a great day to test as a safety, apparently.https://t.co/E7yIpW93Hj #RAS via @Mathbomb pic.twitter.com/nSqzjTIy8D
In contrast to his testing numbers, Ford’s tape is still very good. Instincts are there, play-speed is adequate, and he still made plays for the defense. Who knows just how fluky these numbers are at the end of the day, but the tape doesn’t lie. Ford might be the team’s biggest steal this offseason.
Now I’ll throw this over to you all. Which undrafted player are you most-excited about?
