Everyone and their mother are predicting Matthew Stafford to have one of the best years of his career now that he’s with Sean McVay and the Rams. In an offense that made Jared Goff look like an All-Pro at times, fan are waiting patiently to see what the unit will look like with a top-five arm in the league.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton, the NFL analyst predicts the 2021 passing stats for every team’s starting quarterback. When it comes to Stafford, Moton predicts the former Lion to throw for 4,492 yards, 32 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions. In comparison to his years in Detroit, those numbers would rank fourth, second, and first all-time in his career, so you could say they’re expecting somewhat of a career year out of him right away in Los Angeles.

While maybe those passing yards aren’t as high as some may expect them to be, the Rams still love to tote the rock and according to Moton, McVay’s offenses have ranked among the top-10 in rushing attempts in three out of the last four seasons.

Stafford is likely to find plenty of success in 2021, but his ceiling will likely be curtailed by the offense’s tendencies. Still, expect Stafford to be as efficient as he’s ever been in his new digs.
