The Rams moved on from Jared Goff this offseason in favor of landing veteran Matthew Stafford from the Lions. Goff was the team’s most-recent player picked in the first round at number-one overall in 2016.
After only a few years removed from leading the team to a Super Bowl, Sean Mcvay and company decided that for a number of reasons, Goff wasn’t the right guy to lead this team anymore and they went out and got a quarterback unlike anyone they’ve had in quite some time, if not ever.
With this type of talent under center, and a shrinking window to win now, the Rams should prioritize everything towards giving Stafford everything he could possibly need to succeed in Los Angeles. In fact, those at Bleacher Report agree. In a recent article by B/R, NFL writer Kristopher Knox points at the addition of Stafford — and the team’s obvious moves made to supplement his acquisition — as the team’s number one thing to look forward to in 2021.
Some could say it’s the defense that should still be among the best a year after finishing as the league’s best, but what’s new is usually more exciting.
Do you all agree with Knox’s assessment or is there something else about the team that you’re looking forward to? What else gets your blood pumping in regards to the upcoming seasons? Let me know in the comments below.
