The LA Rams have claimed long snapper Matt Orzech off of the waiver wire, now giving them three players at the position to compete to replace Jake McQuaide. Orzech joins Colin Holba and Steve Wirtel on the roster and it appears as though Sean McVay is going to let the three of them battle it out for the right to snap to Johnny Hekker and company.
The Rams were not the only team after Orzech, as the Green Bay Packers also put in a claim on Orzech but because they beat LA in the playoffs, the Packers were lower on the waiver priority order and Orzech will go to the Rams.
Speaking of near waiver claims: the Packers attempted to claim LS Matt Orzech, but the Rams had higher priority in the order.

Arguably the most notable Packers storyline of the offseason. https://t.co/YsPeuTVnoG
Orzech was undrafted out of Azusa Pacific in 2019, signing with the Baltimore Ravens and then getting cut out of training camp. The Jacksonville Jaguars picked up Orzech off of waivers but placed him back on the wire one year later. He was then briefly on the practice squad for the Miami Dolphins, then picked up midseason by the Tennessee Titans. Orzech was waived by the Titans earlier this week.
