Welcome to the final day of the 2021 NFL Draft, where the LA Rams have five selections, including three of the first 36.
So far, the Rams have added slot receiver Tutu Atwell and inside linebacker Ernest Jones to the roster, but just like a year ago they are taking their time to address the offensive line. Sean McVay made it clear in his press conference this week that the team is happy with their current crop of offensive linemen who will compete to start at guard and center next season.
There won’t be anyone drafted at this point who should be expected to start at guard or center next season. Not saying that it couldn’t happen, but that is not the expectation when you draft an offensive lineman in the fourth round, just as it really wouldn’t have been the expectation if they had picked Quinn Meinerz or any center at pick 88.
There’s still time for Snead and McVay to add meat to the offensive line, as well as looking for cornerbacks, edge players, and maybe even a longsnapper.
