With the 117th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams got bigger on their defensive line, selecting the 6’4, 325 lb defensive tackle Bobby Brown III out of Texas A&M. Brown played three years for the Aggies, posting career-highs with 22 tackles, 7.5 TFL, and 5.5 sacks in nine games as a junior in 2020.
At his pro day, Brown stood out among a weak defensive tackle class, running a 5.04 40-yard dash with a 33” vertical, a 112” broad, and his “Relative Athletic Score” of 9.82 was one of the highest of the year.
The Rams lost Michael Brockers and Morgan Fox to their defensive line in the offseason and Brown is the first real response to those departures.
