On Monday, the Rams parted ways with defensive back Tyrique McGhee, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. McGhee is going into his second year in the NFL and most recently was suspended earlier this month for five games after league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
McGhee was also suspended two games this past November for the same violation.

The 5’10, 185-pound McGhee has the versatility to play either cornerback or safety and he was expected to battle for a roster spot due to the Rams’ need at either position heading into this year’s draft. For now, it looks like the team will look towards a rookie or two to fill that need, now.
