The new season of Saved by the Bell is phenomenally good. This is not me leading into a joke about a story that you may have already heard about — the LA Rams are converting a Malibu beach house into their 2021 NFL Draft war room, according to photos and a tweet by Jourdan Rodrigue on Monday morning — but is instead my legitimate plea for more people to watch the new Saved by the Bell on Peacock.
This article is not sponsored by Peacock, like the way that the Rams’ war room is sponsored by something called Rocket Mortgage. I just loved the new Saved by the Bell and I’m sure Rocket Mortgage loves the Rams.
So the Rams converted a Malibu beach house into their draft war room, and will be operating out of it for this year’s draft (a sentence I can’t believe I just typed). Your move, Kliff! pic.twitter.com/7wK1guI0Pe

Let me emphasize that I am in no way a fan of nostalgia or reboots. I couldn’t watch more than five minutes of Fuller House — which an industry friend has told me is actually Netflix’s highest rated sitcom five times over — and I didn’t want to feel the disappointment of seeing the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion. I had to accidentally watch the new Saved by the Bell, which I didn’t know existed until it was already playing on my TV, to find out that it is a lot more like a new season of 30 Rock than it is a new season of Saved by the Bell.
If you were a fan of the original Saved by the Bell, but not a fan of 30 Rock, you probably won’t like this show.
If you were a fan of 30 Rock and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, you probably will like this show.
If you were a fan of Saved by the Bell and a fan of 30 Rock, you will love this show.
Also, there’s a football related story arc throughout the entire season, so this isn’t entirely off-topic.
Thankfully there will be a season two and that means that indeed there is a chance that they will go to the Malibu Sands Beach Resort and run into Sean McVay and Les Snead when they do. (I do say that as a joke, but there is a non-zero chance that McVay or Aaron Donald would guest star on Saved by the Bell as a throwback to guest stars on TV shows in the 90s, so let’s make it happen.)
Okay, that’s my pitch for people to get a trial of Peacock to watch Saved by the Bell, now we can carry on talking about...the Rams war room. Something, something Kliff Kingsbury.
By the way, here’s the Rams war room from 2018, per the Rams website:

And here’s a glimpse of where they will be later this month:

Your move, Mr. Belding.
