Gerald Everett is signing with the Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple reports. It’s a one-year, $6 million contract and reunites Everett with Shane Waldron, who left the LA Rams this offseason to become offensive coordinator of the Seahawks.
The #Seahawks are signing TE Gerald Everett to a 1-year deal worth $6M, source said. The former #Rams TE finds a home.

Everett, 26, was as second round pick out of South Alabama in 2017. He did increase his receiving yards in each successive season with the Rams — going from 244 yards as a rookie, to 320, 408, then finally 417 yards as of last season — but never fully developed as LA’s coaching staff and front office had hoped. The 6’3, 240 lb tight end was targeted 62 times last season, catching 41 passes with one touchdown.
Pro-Football-Reference also listed Everett as having seven drops in 2020.
The Rams are left with Tyler Higbee and Brycen Hopkins as their top two tight ends, while Johnny Mundt’s future as a restricted free agent remains unclear.
