Any great team knows they can never have too many weapons on offensive. Even when you might be “okay” at receiver or running back, it may be worth taking a second look, just in case.

The Rams might be using that line of thinking this offseason as it was reported by The Draft Network’s Justin Melo that they were one about a dozen teams to have recently met with UCLA receiver/running back Demetric Felton.

Felton most recently spent time dazzling scouts at this year’s Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. He was, at times, unguardedable, giving fits to opposing defenders in just about every one-on-one drill that they ran.

As a junior in 2019, Felton recorded a career-high 55 receptions for 594 yards and four touchdowns. He also added another 331 yards and a touchdown on the ground. In 2020, he made the switch to running back and finished with 665 yards and five scores in just six games. As a receiver, he 159 yards and three more touchdowns on 22 receptions. For his efforts, he was named to the First-Team All-Pac 12 squad.

In the Rams offense, Felton would be utilized as a matchup nightmare, lining up at a variety of positions across the offense with the team looking to maximize his YAC ability. With a mind like Sean McVay’s behind him, it’s easy to fall in love with Felton and what he could bring to the offense.
