Happy Thursday, everyone.
I’m filling for Kenny once again on a TST Podcast and today you can listen to me ramble on about the Rams trading a wealth of picks (plus that Jared Goff guy) for 32-year old quarterback Matthew Stafford.
The Rams have never been shy about tossing their first-round picks to another team in return for an underused star or aging veteran who could make a big difference under Sean McVay. The hope here with Stafford is that his incredible arm strength and consistency can be the different between the Rams rebuilding or fighting for a Super Bowl over the next few years.
I also touch on why I believe Sean McVay is maximizing his job security by trading away his first round picks. I know, that isn’t usually how coaches would attempt to keep their jobs safe but there is a method to McVay’s madness.
Enjoy the pod!
