On Tuesday, the Rams announced that they have finalized their sports performance staff for the 2021 season.
The staff, made up of four members, will have just one returning face in Justin Lovett. Lovett, the team’s head strength coach in 2020, will now don the new title of “Director of Strength and Conditioning”. The three new coaches, all of which will hold the title of assistant Strength and Conditioning coach, are Jamel Cooper, John Griffin, and Zach Witherspoon.
Before joining the Rams staff, Cooper spent the last three seasons as an assistant strength coach at Louisville, Griffin spent three seasons in the NFL with the Jets and Bengals as a running back prior to becoming the assistant director of Strength and Condition for South Carolina, and Witherspoon was most recently the Director of Olympic Sports at New Mexico State.
