The acquisition of Von Miller ahead of this week’s trading deadline once again made Les Snead the king of trade season. It was Snead who acquired Matthew Stafford in January and that’s going down as the best trade of 2021, hand’s down.

Snead who acquired Jalen Ramsey at the 2019 deadline, and that now looks like one of the best trade deadline acquisitions of all-time.

Of course, we could go on and on about Snead’s veteran trade acquisitions, and not every single one of those has panned out as hoped, but the Los Angeles Rams keep things interesting like no other franchise and the latest is the bold move to add Von Miller to a front-seven that already has Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd.

At the cost of a second and third round pick in 2022, for only a half-season of Miller if he’s not re-signed, it is still a move that may not be met with resounding acceptance by Rams fans.

Except that it has been.

In this week’s SB Nation Reacts results, Rams fans were asked how they would grade the trade for Von Miller this week and 60 percent of fans went with “A”. I didn’t get a lot of those in school, but I believe they call that “the good one”.

Next was “B” with 36 percent saying that Snead’s move was good, but not perfect. Only 4 percent went with a “C” and that’s the lowest grade that Miller/Snead would get.

As to the usual amount of checking in on fan confidence....it remains high with Von Miller.

And in national polling of all SB Nation Reacts voters, the LA Rams were voted by far as the best team in the NFC, getting 46 percent of the vote. That’s well ahead of the Cardinals at 17 percent and the Bucs at 14 percent.

Up next for the Rams: The Tennessee Titans on Sunday Night Football.

The Rams are 7-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, but with Derrick Henry checking out for the rest of the season and Von Miller checking in for Los Angeles, will they be able to cover? That would deserve the LA Rams yet another “A”.

Or, a “W”.
