And here we go again. In the Sean McVay era, there has not been a more thrilling division rivalry to follow than this one. Pete Carroll is the oldest coach in a division now full with young coaches finding success early in their careers. McVay is the most successful of the bunch so far and is 6-3 against Seattle. The Seahawks’ new offensive coordinator was a Rams assistant under Sean McVay since 2017 so we will see if McVay will have the edge on a his former staffer.
Seattle is 2-2 after losing to the San Francisco 49ers in week four. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett remain the top threats and Russell Wilson is still armed. The defense however could be the vulnerability. They’ve given up over 450 total yards three times so far and surrendered 532 total yards to the Tennessee Titans in week two.
Los Angeles rolls into Seattle after a rough loss that came after a three game win streak. Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Robert Woods will look to lead the offense to the first division win. Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd, and Jalen Ramsey will lead the defense and look to stop Seattle at home. The NFC West is the most dominant division in football and this is one of its premier matchups. Rams and Seahawks, round one!
