The Los Angeles Rams have had more of a fight than most anticipated and the Detroit Lions added a field goal before halftime to cut the lead to a single point. The Rams lead 17-16 at halftime with Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp continuing to make history.
Stafford is 17-of-23 for 166 yards with two touchdowns, including one to Van Jefferson and one to Kupp. With seven receptions and 76 yards in the first half, Cooper Kupp is closing in on the all-time leaders through seven games: 53 receptions, 731 yards, and eight touchdowns. There’s still a second half remaining and the Lions have made it close enough for there to not be any consideration to pull off the gas.
In his return to Los Angeles, Jared Goff is nine-of-18 for 156 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown on a screen pass catch-and-run by D’Andre Swift. The Lions offense has been quiet ever since but the game remains close and the Rams get the ball to start the second half.
Talk about it right here.
