After pulling off a crucial road win in Seattle, the chance for the Los Angeles Rams to have a winning, maybe perfect, record on the road remains. Let’s look ahead and see who the toughest remaining road opponents are.
This team is the obvious toughest challenge since the Cardinals handed the Rams their first and only loss and did so in LA. Right now, after the Cardinals beat the 49ers on Sunday and remain undefeated, the birds appear to be one of the best teams in the NFL. However, the Rams record under McVay vs Arizona is still 8-1 still heavily in favor of the Rams and this game will occur in week 14 so a lot of football will have been played both teams by then.
The Packers are 4-1 after barely pulling off an overtime win against the Bengals. This will be the second toughest remaining road game for the Rams. The rematch of last seasons divisional playoff elimination will be in week 12 and will feature much of the same talent on the Packers side but on the Rams side, there should be two substantial differences. The quarterback will be Matthew Stafford instead of Jared Goff and hopefully Aaron Donald is injury free instead of playing limited after a rib injury as was the case in the elimination game.
The last time these two teams met, it was blowout game with Lamar Jackson putting on a show at the LA Coliseum in 2019. This matchup happens in week 17 so both teams will hope to have improved from early season form and both will be hoping to have playoff preparation mode in play as well. The Ravens are currently 3-1 and play the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football.
The San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants, Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings also remain on the road schedule for the Rams but the three listed above will be the toughest tests.
