Report: Sean McVay told Rams players on Wednesday who would start at QB

Word is not out yet on who will start vs Seahawks

Update: Both Jared Goff and John Wolford are listed as ACTIVE vs Seahawks

Rams inactives are Blake Bortles, Brian Allen, Tremayne Anchrum, Trishton Jackson, Brycen Hopkins

Sean McVay intended to take his time before telling the media and the NFL who his starting quarterback would be on Sunday — Jared Goff or John Wolford — but apparently he didn’t hold the decision back from his Rams players. ESPN’s Ed Werder says that McVay told the players on Wednesday who would be starting at quarterback against the Seahawks today and for them to not let the secret out.

Werder believes that Wolford was the choice as starter, though we have not gotten confirmation or inactives yet. He expects Goff to be active and to serve as the backup rather than Blake Bortles.

According to Ian Rapoport, Wolford took the majority of snaps in practice this week. Does the tip off that Wolford will be starting? Could McVay want Wolford ready to go in case Goff starts but needs to be pulled because of his thumb injury?

We will know soon.

Update: Both QBs have been seen throwing in warmups.
