Sean McVay intended to take his time before telling the media and the NFL who his starting quarterback would be on Sunday — Jared Goff or John Wolford — but apparently he didn’t hold the decision back from his Rams players. ESPN’s Ed Werder says that McVay told the players on Wednesday who would be starting at quarterback against the Seahawks today and for them to not let the secret out.
Werder believes that Wolford was the choice as starter, though we have not gotten confirmation or inactives yet. He expects Goff to be active and to serve as the backup rather than Blake Bortles.
#Rams HC Sean McVay decided who would start at quarterback many days ago. He informed the players in first team meeting Wednesday, asking they keep the secret. They have done so. My guess is that it will be John Wolford with Jared Goff the backup first time since rookie season.

According to Ian Rapoport, Wolford took the majority of snaps in practice this week. Does the tip off that Wolford will be starting? Could McVay want Wolford ready to go in case Goff starts but needs to be pulled because of his thumb injury?
We will know soon.
As for the #Rams: QB John Wolford took the majority of snaps this week and is prepared to start vs #Seahawks, sources say. Jared Goff has thrown well despite a broken thumb, and coach Sean McVay hasn’t made a determination. Goff is pushing to play, but it remains a challenge.

Update: Both QBs have been seen throwing in warmups.
