Which Rams are set to test the market?

The LA Rams had a considerable exodus in free agency in 2020 and this year seems to shape up no differently.

ProFootballFocus posted their Top 100 free agents in 2021 and the Rams had four in the top 60:

  • John Johnson
  • Troy Hill
  • Gerald Everett
  • Leonard Floyd

The order and ranking doesn’t mean anything to me but it serves as a reminder that relatively speaking, the Rams are set to take a greater hit in free agency than most teams. I also do not care who PFF projects to sign these players, but I do agree that Johnson must be their top priority. I have been wondering recently if the most dangerous suitors to acquire Johnson in the offseason will be a team that hires Brandon Staley to be their head coach.

What more would the defensive coordinator like than to take his defensive QB with him?

Other Rams free agents in 2021 include Morgan Fox, Austin Blythe, Malcolm Brown, Josh Reynolds, Johnny Mundt and Samson Ebukam. Darious Williams is a restricted free agent. I will not be surprised if Fox signs a more lucrative deal than many names on the top 100.
