The Los Angeles Rams have made the playoffs! By beating the Cardinals 18-7 on Sunday, the Rams improved to 10-6 and clinched a wild card berth. They will be the NFC’s six seed. Los Angeles knocked the Cardinals out of postseason contention and secured the Chicago Bears as the seven seed.
That means that the Rams are set to play the three-seed, which means it will be a third game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Rams and Seahawks split their season series, with Seattle besting Los Angeles two games ago 20-9. However, Sean McVay has had success against the Seahawks throughout much of his career.
McVay is 2-2 in Seattle. The Seahawks and Rams last met in the playoffs in the 2004 season, a 27-20 win by the St. Louis Rams in Seattle as a wild card. It is the only time these two teams have met in the postseason.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face either the Washington Football Team or the New York Giants, depending on the outcome of Sunday Night Football. The Bears will take on the Saints in New Orleans.
