The Los Angeles Rams handled business during Sunday’s regular season finale, beating the Arizona Cardinals 18-7. With the win, the Rams clinched a spot in the playoffs, and secured a 10-6 record, adding one win to last year’s total.
LA didn’t end up needing the win, as the Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears, which would’ve put the Rams in the postseason regardless. But ending the season with a win and some momentum is always nice, and they got to eliminate a divisional foe in the process.
John Wolford, who made his NFL debut after Jared Goff suffered a thumb injury, threw an interception in his first pass attempt, but then settled in and had a strong game. He was 22-for-38 for 231 yards, and led the Rams in rushing yards with 56.
It was certainly an up and down regular season for the Rams, but it ends the way everyone wanted it to: with a win against the Cardinals, and a chance to play a 17th game.
