On Monday, Steve Wyche of NFL Network broke the news that Rams cornerbacks coach Aubrey Pleasant has accepted the offer to be the Detroit Lions’ new secondary coach and passing game coordinator.
Pleasant joined the staff back in 2017 alongside Sean McVay and has coached the corners for all four years in Los Angeles. Due to his new role in Detroit being considered a promotion, McVay was unable to block Pleasant from interviewing, similar to what he did regarding Kevin O’Connell and the Chargers.
Former @RamsNFL CB Coach Aubrey Pleasant has accepted the job with the @Lions as their secondary coach/passing game coordinator. Huge get for Detroit, tough loss for the Rams

It’s another notable loss for the Rams coaching staff, but I have faith in McVay to find the right people to fill their latest vacancies in 2021.
