I am kicking this poll off a day early this week but what better way to spend the first day of the new year than by debating what could good right and what else could go wrong for the Rams this weekend?
The LA Rams are 9-6 and a win over the Cardinals on Sunday will guarantee them a trip to the postseason. If Arizona wins, they will also guarantee themselves a trip to the postseason.
In their earlier meeting this season, the Rams took a 17-7 lead early in the third quarter but didn’t fully pull away from the Cards until Troy Hill’s pick-six off of Kyler Murray with 4:33 remaining in the game. Los Angeles was in control throughout the game though and it felt like a rush of optimism sweeping through the body after the 49ers had completed their season sweep of the Rams only a week earlier.
Sean McVay is 7-0 in his career against Arizona, but he’s never had to face him with a roster like this one before.
The Rams will be without starting quarterback Jared Goff, as well as Cooper Kupp, Darrell Henderson, Andrew Whitworth and Michael Brockers. LA won’t make a decision on Cam Akers until Sunday.
For the Cardinals, Kyler Murray is practicing in full, while DeAndre Hopkins was upgraded to limited on Thursday. Larry Fitzgerald and Chase Edmonds missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Budda Baker was added to the injury report for the Cardinals on Thursday with a neck issue.
How confident are you that the Rams can end their two-game slide and get a win over the Cardinals at home?
