The Rams are 2-0 and just hung 37 points on the Philadelphia Eagles in their own stadium and won by double-digits. That’s not too shabby.
It’s also pretty crazy that the Rams were able to escape Week 2 without a serious injury to any of their players. With countless players dropping like flies on Sunday, it’s just incredible to realize they got out relatively unscathed.
That sustained health and well-rounded football that the Rams have played through two weeks has helped them maintain their short undefeated season and keeps them in the good graces of the rest of the NFL’s top teams.
More specifically, the Rams put on an elite performance inside Lincoln Financial Field. Per John Breech of CBS Sports, he gave the Rams a solid “A” for their dominant play.
Here’s what he had to say.
“Sean McVay has been criticized for never beating Doug Pederson. Well, he owned the Super Bowl winning coach Sunday by confusing Jim Schwartz’s defense with play action passes and wide receiver counter runs to take a commanding 21-3 first half lead the Rams would never relinquish. McVay and the Rams offense are showing they are back to the 2017/2018 form that earned them two NFC West titles and an NFC Championship while averaging 31.4 points per game. Goff completed his first 13 passes and Los Angeles racked up over 450 yards of offense in crushing another NFC East team. The L.A. defense is pretty legit too, forcing three Eagles turnovers and preserving the early lead it earned. The NFC West is loaded and Los Angeles is a contender for the division title.”
With the 49ers just getting flooded by injuries, the Rams are all of a sudden one of, if not, the favorite to win the NFC West crown. At least, in my personal opinion, but I bet a lot of you would agree. The team looks great on either side of the ball and have already shown what it takes to win the close won.
They’re on the right path, which is more than what many other teams in the league can say.
