Rams-Eagles second half game thread

LA was off to a hot start but stumbled to end the first half

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The LA Rams got off to a 21-3 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday thanks to Sean McVay and Kevin O’Connell’s effective script to start the game, Jared Goff’s perfect 13-of-13 start and some highlight plays by the weapons around him. But unfortunately the Rams also lost running back Cam Akers for the rest of the game after he was given three carries and gained 13 yards on the opening drive.

Then the defense gave up a 75-yard touchdown drive, a sack on Goff took the Rams out of field goal range when they looked in position to score on their fourth consecutive drive, Cooper Kupp fumbled a punt return and that led to an easy touchdown for Miles Sanders.

The good news is that the Rams lead 21-16 and get the ball to start the second half. The bad news is the loss of Akers, but LA can’t forget they have the lead and they’ve had some good plays out of Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson today.

Talk about the second half here.
