In their first game at SoFi Stadium, the Rams outlasted the Cowboys 20-17 in a nail-biter on Sunday night.

The Rams started fast out of the gate, going 75 yards in seven plays and capping off the opening drive with a Malcolm Brown rushing score, which was also the first touchdown scored in SoFi Stadium.

Early in the second quarter, the Cowboys responded with a touchdown of their own, this one by running back Ezekiel Elliott on a 19-yard reception.

Over the next three drives, the Rams tacked on a pair of field goals which sandwiched a missed kick by new Dallas kicker Greg Zuerlein. However, prior to the end of the first half, Dallas took the lead on a one-yard plunge by Elliott.

On the Rams’ first drive of the second half, the offense marched 85 yards in 11 plays and ended it with another Malcolm Brown touchdown run, this one from two yards out.

Late in the third, Zuerlein would make his first kick of the night to bring the Cowboys within a field goal at 20-17.

With 1:57 remaining in the game and one timeout remaining, the Cowboys put together a strong comeback attempt, but it came up short after they turned it over on downs.

The Rams would run out the clock to stay undefeated in their brand new stadium.
