And we are live!

Kenneth here — SB Nation is transitioning to a new commenting system, as mentioned by Andrew Losowsky, the head of that department, on Wednesday. I think there are a number of features that are going to improve the comment section for SB Nation, which I’ve been using in some form or another since the late aughts so I sympathize with how massive this change appears to be at first sight to many of us.

I understand how jarring it is to see the new format but whatever issues you do see with it, don’t be afraid to hold back in the new Coral comments section with what you like or dislike as Losowsky and others are watching and reading and not finished making changes and tweaks to the format. Now is the time to voice what concerns you have — or what you like about it!

Personally, I’m into being able to sort comments now by newest, oldest, or most recs and replies. But no kidding, it takes some getting used to when clicking into the posts after so many years and not seeing what you’ve seen for the last decade.

Hello, Rams fans!

Today, we’ve launched our new commenting platform, Coral, on this site. You can try it out below, or on any article here.

As the pre-launch article said yesterday, we know it’s missing a few key pieces that might be important to you, and we’re continually evolving and improving it.

Just like when we launched the previous platform, on day one it wasn’t perfect (in fact, almost everyone told us they hated it), and so we’re asking for a little patience as we grow. We’re launching here first to learn what matters most to you, to help us learn and develop the next set of features. We already have a bunch of improvements in the pipeline, which will be released before the season begins. And do keep tell using what you like and what you want to see more of (respectfully, please) – we’re here and we’re listening.

This is part of a big investment in SB Nation communities, and we will continue to evolve the platform over the coming months and years to support you, the best fan communities on the internet.
