Going into the season is there more or less optimism based on where they were at in the beginning and end of 2019

On Thursday, I posted a guess as to the LA Rams 53-man roster, depth chart and practice squad heading into the 2020 season. While there are bound to be some inaccuracies with that depth chart and 53-man roster, they aren’t likely to be major ones. The starters and main roles players should be known at this point — though we should remain open to the possibility of having one or two huge pieces of roster news between now and the September 13th opener vs the Dallas Cowboys.

Barring those, I recorded a podcast asking myself if the 2020 Rams were “better” or “worse” at each position group as compared to where they were both at the beginning and the end of the 2019 campaign.

Here is that show and a timestamp breakdown of each position.

A comparison of what the Rams could look like in Week 1 of 2020 vs their position groups last season.
