HBO did it again with another great episode of Hard Knocks last night. This episode seemed to lean a bit more in the direction of the Rams after the season’s opening episode looked a little skewed towards the Chargers.
In this one, seventh-round linebacker Clay Johnston was a big focus as they gave us an inside look on the rookie’s journey to pinning down the team’s defense as fast as possible. He didn’t have the greatest time while being recorded, but he took it all in stride and showed no signs of letting it affect his overall positive attitude.
Veterans like Michael Brockers and Aaron Donald were once again behind plenty of laughs throughout the episode, as well. We won’t ever get enough of that.
The episode ended with Sean McVay essentially pseudo-apologizing for taking his shirt off so quickly to begin Episode 1. That got a great laugh from the coaching staff, too.
Again, it was another great episode and I already can’t wait for next week.
