The Los Angeles Rams have been working at their facilities for about two and a half week, but it obviously has not been “business as usual” at training camp this year. Monday is the fourth day of the NFL’s “ramp up period” for teams as they prepare for a regular season with no preseason games. Because there are no preseason games, there hasn’t been as much of a reason to put the pads on and let teammates go at each other to feel ready for game action.
That changes on Tuesday, the first day the Rams can wear pads and go closer to full speed.
The Rams posted a discussion of camp on Monday morning by team reporter J.B. Long and former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew. They talk about Tyler Higbee, Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, and more — but we also get an opportunity to see Sean McVay, Higbee, Gerald Everett on the field.
And tomorrow, they’ll be in pads. Well, maybe not McVay. But he could be in a face shield.
