The 15th season of HBO’s wildly popular documentary series Hard Knocks premieres in mere hours and it will be unlike anything NFL Films has ever produced before.
And we’re not just talking about the fact that for the first time there are two teams featured on the show. In a nod to the opening of the swanky SoFi Stadium this season, both the LA Rams and the Chargers will be given the Hard Knocks treatment in the training camp behind-the-scenes episodic.
But due to COVID-19, the theme of the show can’t — and — be just about the NFL in Los Angeles. Like every team, both the Rams’ and the Chargers’ biggest camp issue is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and trying to start a football season.
The latest trailer was released Tuesday and it shows exactly what the focus will be on:

A previous trailer showed Rams’ head coach Sean McVay, wearing a face shield, and talking to a group about how to proceed in this unprecedented time.
Nothing says 2020 more than Sean McVay’s new look at training camp.

Of course, there will be some usual Hard Knocks levity as shown here between Rams’ defensive back Donte Deayon and star defensive lineman Aaron Donald.
